Get inspired in Byron Bay
Total immersion in Australian culture during a month shared between Sydney, Melbourne and Byron Bay. My heart stopped at this little spot by the sea, reminding me of the beauty of our great beaches in the West. What more can I tell you, I loved everything! The kindness of the people met, the organic and local food, the Australian lifestyle
and this balance between work and personal life, the sport which is an integral part of their life, the very bohemian and folk spirit, the handmade and crafty decorations, the hours lying on the warm sand listening to the waves, the walks in the small town center to let myself be carried away by the beauty of the shops and collections.
It was a delight for the body, the heart and the mind to live these few days as if suspended in time, a little out of the norm because so different from our daily French life. My favorites from this trip: the COMBI and FOLK BYRON BAY cafes, the Byron Yoga Center, the SPELL, TIGERLILY, HOPE AND MAY boutiques which highlight beachwear in light poplins. You absolutely must stroll through the Byron Farmers Market and be dazzled by the gypsy looks of Australian women, while listening to local singers and tasting organic products.
The sign “Cheer up, slow down, chill out” indicates at the entrance to the city that we have just reached a place where good vibes vibrate!
A few kilometers from the center, perched on top of a hill, the Byron Bay lighthouse dominates the town. We can observe dolphins, turtles, manta rays and even humpback whales during their migration between June and October.
Byron was also a place of sacred rituals and healing for early aborigines. Located in the basin of an ancient volcano, the city vibrates with
powerful energy force!
